Whistleblowers take extreme risk. Which begs the question: why shouldn’t a whistleblower get an extreme reward for coming forward with incriminating evidence?
Without question, whistleblowers will be labeled as a rat, a pariah, and never to be trusted again with confidential information. So if their information pans out, the information they hand over rights a major wrong, why shouldn’t they get a comped life? Because, more than likely, they’ll be giving up any chance of earning a living in their chosen profession ever again.
