I’ve fielded a few private email questions about unemployment rates over the last few weeks, but mere words doesn’t exactly do The Great Recession justice after taking a look at the following chart comparing The Great Recession to all other recessions.

Scary stuff…

Check out the two red lines at the bottom. The solid one includes Census hiring, while the dotted red line doesn’t include it.

Scary is a mild way to put it. On the bright side, it appears that we may be on the upswing. Hopefully we can stave off inflation long enough to ensure that the recovery’s roots are firmly established.
