If you think you deserve an endorsement deal from Nike because half your wardrobe is branded with their distinctive swoosh, or you’ve got the most awesome Facebook profile picture ever of all of your friends chugging Bud Light, you might want to checkout Udorse.com.
Udorse has devised a quick and easy method for anyone (most likely bloggers and social media mega-users) to earn a few bucks by endorsing, or Udorsing (pronounced “You-Dorsing”), their favorite brands.

Just note, that the Udorse.com site is in Private Beta testing mode, but you can get an invite code by entering “CNBC” once on the site.
Udorsing a product or brand is actually a fairly simple process and just takes a few seconds (see how to video below).
Simply select a photo from your Facebook page, tag a few photos that you want to Udorse (e.g. you wearing your favorite Nike hoodie), and type in the website address that sells that particular product. The Udorse web tracking software will automatically detect how many potential customers you sent to all outgoing websites, and will pay you based on the amount of traffic you generated.
Since most of us have a fully functioning Facebook page with dozens of photos, all you need to do is tag a few of your photos with products you would like to endorse, and (according to the CEO interview) wait for the dough to roll in. The average user can expect to make between $5 to $10 a month, but as many social media experts will tell you, it all depends on how many followers you have and how successful you are with your online presence.
Of course, the idea is still in beta testing and management is still working on signing up more clients, but the basic concept of a visual endorsement engine seems to be an easy and efficient way to monetize your Facebook photos as well as another creative way to generate multiple income streams.
I haven’t monetized any of my Facebook pictures just yet (probably because I’m not a Facebook junkie), but this really seems like an ingenious way for bloggers and social media gurus to generate extra income with very little work.
When you consider just how many people walk around with an iPhone or Blackberry snapping pictures of their nights out on the town or lunch hours going to their favorite hot spots, and then can quickly turnaround to monetize those photos once they get back to a PC, it seems like the idea can catch on pretty quick.
Of course, the pay per click revenues have to be fairly good, but as most bloggers already know, the monetary returns really don’t add up until they’ve created a fair amount of content and built up a decent sized following. Like anything in content business, it all depends on how many viewers/readers you have.
So what’s your take? Do you think the idea of a visual endorsement engine can work?
