The Faces of Labor Day

Filed in Career 0 comments

Even though Labor Day is coming to a close, it’s important to remember what the Labor Day national holiday is all about and who it was meant to honor. A picture is supposedly worth a thousand words, and when I think of Labor Day, this is what comes to mind.

  • For those buried in paperwork somewhere in cubicle land…paperwork, cubicle, cubicle land, buried in paperwork
  • For the firefighters risking their lives trying to save our homes… Forest Firefighters after a forest fire
  • For teachers who go that extra mile to make sure we got it…Elementary school teacher with her students
  • For the nurses who rarely get enough appreciation…Nurses who care for us
  • For the homebuilders who didn’t get as much labor as they wanted in 2009…Painting and Drywall installer

… I thank you for your diligent work.  Hope you had a swell three day weekend, and that you don’t need another few days off from partying so hard!
