One of the best things about having a blog is getting to share, and highlight, some really great content from around the web. Here are a few articles/posts that I really enjoyed from the past few weeks. Please note, I’m a little behind in doing my standard Sunday linklove post, but after getting hacked earlier in the month, it’s about time to get back to normal.
So here goes…
CNBC & Forbes teamed up to highlight Five of the Fastest Growing Companies of 2009. My favorite, by far, has to be the interview with the CEO of Chipotle (20:00 minute marker). He acts more like a Chief Operating Officer than a Chief Executive Officer consider how involved he is with each individual restaurant and how much he strives to save money by instituting ecofriendly principles. Frugal living and green living go hand in hand after all.

Lending Club’s webinar Beat the Average with Scott Langmack really helped me identify ways to reduce person-to-person loan defaults and boost my overall net return. I’m a novice investor at Lending Club, so any information I can get is a huge plus.
MoneyEnergy has an extensive list of ways to reduce your home telecom and entertainment expenses. Keeping in touch with the world has become a rather expensive thing to do these days with $80 dollar cell phone plans here, $40 dollar high speed cable modems there, and added together, they can take a sizable bite out of your bring home income.
The Big Picture located a graphic which tracks the stock market performance of 19 of the last major bear markets. Like other traders, I’ve been calling for a pullback in this market for a while (incorrectly I might add), but it’s alarming to know we might be trading sideways for the next 5 to 7 years.
Lazy Man and Money has gotten himself in run into some legal trouble with Monavie is Trying to Sue Me. Apparently, Lazy Man is pretty happy about the situation since he suspects Monavie is a Scam, and will only further prove they are trying to silence any critics of their products. Not to mention, he’s likely to win any such legal actions and get a ton of good press in the process!
Suburban Dollar has a great post with Confessions of an Ex-Debt Collector. I’ve always thought Kyle was the friendly neighbor with an IT job and a small garden in the backyard, but apparently, he can be quite ruthless when need be. Perhaps I should recruit his services if any of my new Lending Club investments/notes are past due.
Bargaineering has a great guest post from some guy named @Matt_SF saying Even Day Traders Recommend Index Funds. Sounds like an extremely smart guy! [evil grins]
