If Bill Gates releasing a jar of mosquitoes while giving a presentation on malaria didn’t make you a follower the TEDTalks videos yet, I think the video below might get you started.
TED, an acronym for Thinking Education Design, is basically a gathering of the worlds brightest minds coming together to share their thoughts, passions, and wicked cool stuff they’ve been working on for the last 10 years in a 20 minute or less presentation. Before you discard it as another YouTube for the uber smart science geeks and business person who might actually have a real clue, know this — it’s the kind of place where you get a real life glimpse into the future.
The following video is from Juan Enriquez, where he discusses the current economic crisis and our faulty system of entitlements. He later shifts into how the new inventions currently working at the small to pilot scale will play a (leading?) role in guiding us out of this financial mess.
Enjoy!
