Being somewhat of a cynical person, I often find humor in things other people find discouraging.

This chart is one of them.

However, I did manage to get an “A” in college level physics so I’m quite sure that every action has an equal and opposite reaction.

So here’s to spreading belief in a turnaround for 2009.

We attempt to spread belief that an all-knowing fat man slides down a narrow chimney every year so asking for a stock market rebound isn’t asking too much…

Right?

Disclosure: I’m not entirely certain which company or index this chart represents.  I don’t think it’s an index like the S&P 500 because that looks more like we fell off a cliff instead of a Christmas Tree.
